Entrepreneurship CCA Programme Structure (Secondary Schools)

Programme Overview

A year long, tiered CCA programme that develops students from entrepreneurial awareness → venture creation → real-world pitching.


  • Target Group: Secondary 1–4 
  • Frequency: 1–2 sessions per week (1.5–2 hours each) 
  • Delivery Mode: Blended (facilitator-led + digital platform) 
  • Outcome: Students build and pitch a real startup idea at International Startup Competition


Programme Framework (4-Tier Progression)


Tier 1: Foundations (Sec 1)

Goal: Build entrepreneurial mindset & creativity


Key Topics:

  • What is entrepreneurship? 
  • Identifying problems in daily life 
  • Introduction to Design Thinking 
  • Creativity & ideation exercises 

Activities:

  • Problem-spotting challenges in school 
  • Group brainstorming sessions 
  • Mini idea pitches (informal) 

Outcome:

  • Students generate 3–5 business ideas 


Tier 2: Exploration (Sec 2)

Goal: Validate ideas and understand markets


Key Topics:

  • Customer discovery 
  • Surveys & interviews 
  • Competitor analysis 
  • Basics of branding 

Activities:

  • Conduct real student surveys 
  • Create simple product mockups 
  • Brand identity workshop 

Outcome:

  • Teams select 1 validated idea 
  • Draft a basic business concept 


Tier 3: Development (Sec 3)

Goal: Build a working business model


Key Topics:

  • Business Model Canvas 
  • Revenue streams & pricing 
  • Cost structure & budgeting 
  • Marketing strategies 

Activities:

  • Build MVP (prototype or service) 
  • Run small-scale test sales (e.g. school-based) 
  • Social media campaign simulation 

Outcome:

  • Functional prototype or service 
  • Initial traction (users/feedback) 


Tier 4: Venture Launch (Sec 4)

Goal: Execute, pitch, and scale ideas


Key Topics:

  • Pitch deck creation 
  • Storytelling & persuasion 
  • Financial projections 
  • Presentation skills 

Activities:

  • Demo Day preparation 
  • Investor-style pitch sessions 
  • Inter-school competitions 

Outcome:

  • Final startup pitch 
  • Participation in national-level showcase 

Facilitator Structure Roles

A facilitator is critical in making this CCA meaningful, engaging and impactful.


  •  Lead Facilitator (programme delivery) 
  • Assistant Facilitator (team coaching) 
  • Industry Mentor (monthly engagement) 


Facilitator Training Includes:

  • Curriculum delivery 
  • Classroom management 
  • Coaching startup teams
