Ms. Zhuo Ziying was a training member of the U21 Polo Team in Gallop Polo under Gallop SG. She was shortlisted as a core player for her excellent handling and equestrian skills.

Polo has long been regarded as: The Sport of Kings and she is among the very few females in Singapore that has such exposure and opportunity.

She has taken the same courage to venture into the startup ecosystem when many students her age are still discovering their interests.

Equestrian is seen as niche and premium because it combines sport, lifestyle, psychology, and economics in a way very few activities do.

Why equestrian is considered “good”?

It builds unusual discipline. Unlike many sports, you’re working with a living animal, not equipment. A horse has moods, fears, and instincts.

That teaches:

* Patience (forcing never works)

* Consistency (horses respond to habits)

* Emotional control (they mirror your energy)

* Responsibility (care before performance)

 Through these experiences, Ziying has demonstrated qualities that extend far beyond academic achievement. She is intellectually curious, resilient in the face of challenges, eager to learn, and courageous enough to step outside her comfort zone. Most importantly, she possesses a genuine desire to create positive impact for others. These are qualities that cannot be taught in a classroom alone and are often the defining traits of future change makers and leaders.
